Předmět: historical documents?
Dotaz: Hello, I wonder if you have historical birth/death records in your church or town office? My family left the area to come to USA in 1855 or 1867, and I am looking for whatever information I could find for family history.

Dear Sir,
the records of births, marriages and deaths of persons are recorded in the registry books which are deposited at the registry offices according to the place where the corresponding event occurred. The register book of birth, marriage, and death is kept for each municipality separately.
In order to find the corresponding record, it is necessary to know exactly when and where the registry event occurred. If it was in Žďár nad Sázavou or its registry office, please contact us directly at jana.suska@zdarns.cz. After expiration of the archiving time to the registry offices, the books are handed over to the national archives. Most of the registry entries are stored at Zemský archiv in Brno, where you can search online on their website www.mza.cz.
